Duties
- Supervise and support kitchen staff, including cooks and bartenders, to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Assist in managing restaurant operations, including inventory control, staff scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Implement food safety protocols to guarantee the health and safety of both staff and customers.
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices in food preparation and service.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to develop menus that reflect culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant sector is preferred.
- A background in culinary arts or food preparation is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
- Experience in bartending or managing bar operations is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
